My Name is Olavo, I live in Recife, Brazil. I've been working with computers since 2001.

When I was at University I realized that Programming would be what I would be working on.

I've been working with Web Development since 2001.

I could say that my favorites technologies are .NET platform, Java platform and PHP. Someone could think I would be playing with all possibilities. Not, I don't think like that!

What can I say?

So, I have no preference about programming language. There are several kinds of programming, and each one has its purpose

For each situation you will find a better solution by using a specif programming language.

That's what I believe.

Resume

I am graduated of Computer Science (Universidade Católica de Pernambuco, Recife, PE, Brazil) and at this moment I am taking pos graduate course in Software Engineering.

I love computers and coding/analyzing software, and have a combination of skills and experience that makes me well-qualified for Software Engineer position.

Since 2002, I have worked with several languages or technologies for Web in different languages such as ASP 3.0, ASP.NET 1.x and 2.0, PHP 4 and 5, Java, JavaScript and so on.

I also have experience in Object Oriented Programming besides Design Patterns and knowledge in Software Process like RUP and Scrum.

I am organized, proactive, pay attention to detail, and am skilled at working on multiple projects. I have the ability working in different platforms such as Windows and Linux, for example.

As personal qualifications I have, always, good humor, do not have problems to work in groups and make new friends with everyone no matter what are their job positions in the company.

Nowadays I have worked as Application System Analyst for Brazilian Government (precisely for the State of the Pernambuco): ATI - Agência Estadual de Tecnologia da Informação.
